I think it's a good sign that the Senate Judiciary Committee is postponing a vote on confirming Bush's nominee for the post of UN Ambassador, John Bolton
. If nothing else it's a sign that the backbone of the Senate's moderate Republicans
is regaining some strength and all is not lost for the reasonable factions of the Republican party. Whether or not Bolton eventually gets confirmed, I'm just happy to see the legislative branch acting like the legislative branch, and not just a chamber of White House stooges.
